Designed perfectly as an express introduction to Tanzania's world-famous ecosystems or as a highly practical pre-flight wildlife excursion, you can choose between two distinctly beautiful national parks based on your viewing priorities.
Option A: Tarangire National Park is a dramatic paradise dominated by colossal, prehistoric baobab trees and sprawling riverbeds. It is celebrated for hosting some of the densest and largest elephant family groups anywhere in East Africa.
Option B: Lake Manyara National Park offers an completely different micro-climate. It features lush, evergreen ground-water forests beneath the Great Rift Valley wall, vibrant pink flamingo populations blanketing the soda lake, and its legendary tree-climbing lions.
Your private Z&K guide picks you up directly from your hotel in Arusha in a modified 4x4 safari Land Cruiser. Enjoy a comfortable, scenic drive through Maasai steppe country to your chosen park destination.
Arrive at your chosen gate (Tarangire or Lake Manyara) and begin tracking wild herds. If in Tarangire, your guide will navigate old river loops looking for large elephant gatherings and predators. If in Manyara, you will venture under lush canopy forest observing baboon troops and searching branches for tree-climbing lions.
We break for a fully packed picnic lunch at a designated viewing point within the park boundaries, allowing you to relax while remaining surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wild.
Complete your wildlife tracking loops as the afternoon cooling prompts animal movement near watering holes. Slowly cruise toward the park gates to exit boundaries.
We transition directly to your final drop-off location, timing our arrival smoothly at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for an evening flight departure, or dropping you back at your hotel in Arusha.
Rates are fixed per person in USD and scale down proportionally as more travelers share your private, custom 4x4 safari vehicle. Rates are completely identical regardless of whether you select Tarangire or Manyara.
